Washington trip from Yakima through
the Northern Cascade Mountains to Anacortes, WA

As we entered the Cascades Scenic Highway, we were a little surprised when it started to snow - and continued to snow! |

These mountains are covered with glaciers and looked much like the Swiss or Austrian Alps. |

When we left the Cascade Mountains, we traveled to Anacortes, an island north of Seattle. This is the view from our hotel room to the Ferry dock, with the San Juan Islands in the distance. The sun is shining! We fly home tomorrow.
