Annual Conference, Georgia Branch of the International Dyslexia Association
Atlanta, Georgia - February 11, 2006

On February 11, Pete and Pam Wright will be the keynote speakers at the 16th Annual Conference of the Georgia Branch of the International Dyslexia Association on the topic of "Reading the Law."

Program Description & Registration

"Reading the Law" will focus on how to use the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) to ensure that all students receive high quality reading instruction

In addition to the keynote speech, Pete and Pam Wright will present breakout sessions on how to use your child's test scores to measure progress, SMART IEPs, and how to resolve parent-school conflict.

The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is accessible via public transportation. The MARTA System's North Avenue subway stop is a short walk from the Conference Center. Please consult the MARTA website for more information.

Conference parking at the The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is free to registered attendees.

Travel & Directions

Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is 13 miles (approximately 20 minutes) from the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The MARTA subway is located directly in the airport terminal for convenient ground transportation.

From I-85/75 North (I-85 from the airport):
Take I-85 North to the 10th/14th street exit (#250). Continue straight for .1 mile on Williams Street and turn right onto 10th Street. Travel .1 mile and turn right onto Spring Street. The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is approximately .4 mile on the right.

From I-85 South: Take I-85 South to the Techwood Drive/14th Street/ 10th Street exit (#84). Turn left on 14th Street. Travel .2 mile and turn right on Spring Street. The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is approximately .7 mile on the right.

From I-75 South: Take I-75 South to the Techwood Drive/14th Street/ 10th Street exit (#250). Turn left on 14th Street. Travel .2 mile and turn right on Spring Street. The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is approximately .7 mile on the right.

From 400 South: Take GA-400 South to I-85 South and follow the directions above.

From I-20: Take I-20 to I-85/75 North and follow the directions above.
