Welcome to the Wrightslaw search page!

The Wrightslaw site contains hundreds of articles, advice letters, tips, newsletters, legal decisions, and more. The downside is that you may have trouble finding a specific piece of information.

If you are looking for information about a specific issue, we suggest that you use our search engine. The search engine is a powerful tool - we re-index it often so visitors can find the newest information on the site.

*Search Tips*

Using the search box located at the top of the page please follow the steps below.

If you want to do a broad search for all articles about IEPs and IEP meetings, search for IEPs or IEP or meeting - this search will give you a list of all files that have any of these terms.

To narrow your search, type in "IEP meeting." You will get a list of files that have the term "IEP meeting" in them.

If you want to find documents with any of your search words, use "or" between your search words - IEP or meeting or team.

If you're not sure how your word or term may be used in an article, you can truncate the word by using an asterisk (*) at the end

For example, if you search for "IE*", your search will retrieve files that include IEP, IEPs, etc. If you search for comput*, you will retrieve documents with the words "computer", "computing", "computation", etc.
