Pete Wright presents a Wrightslaw Special Education Law & Advocacy Training ConferenceSpecial Education Law & Advocacy Training Schedule

As we fired up the grill this Memorial Day weekend, we also reflected on what this holiday really means. Today we pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and their families.

Military children face difficult issues. Some must deal with emotions about the loss of a parent or a parent who is deployed... again.

The peak season for relocation of military families is May through August. During this time, military kids are moving and transferring in and out of schools.

In this issue of the Special Ed Advocate you will meet military families who have children with special needs and learn about the challenges they face. Find information for military families who are relocating and advocating for special education services.

We hope you will forward this issue to other friends, families, or colleagues.
