Becky: What is the law for Alabama for schools to help dyslexia students? I have a grandson that has been tested and confirmed to have dyslexia. We are not getting much help from the county school system.

Chuck is right. The parents should be involved in advocacy. Work with them to carefully look at his school district, assessment results, etc. Get involved in dyslexia organizations (an internet search will suffice to find help). Other parents and field experts can provide guidance. My advice is don’t fully depend on a school district, especially one that is struggling, to remediate your grandson.
