On Thursday, August 22, 2024, TRT CLE will sponsor a Live Zoom Telecast of Continuing Legal Education Credit for attorneys. Pete Wright, Esq. will be presenting: Special Education and Juvenile Justice.

The focus is related to children with disabilities who are also involved in the juvenile justice system. Pete worked in Virginia’s juvenile justice system for 10 years prior to attending law school, first as a juvenile training school houseparent, living on-site. Later, Pete worked as a juvenile probation officer in Richmond, VA. In that capacity his caseload consisted of children living in housing projects who had committed major felonies. As an attorney, Pete specialized in representing those same children before the juvenile courts and in special education due process hearings.

The two hour training is open to the public. Attorneys will receive CLE credits (2.0) which have been approved in more than 20 states, including California and New York. CLEs are pending in other states.
