Angie: If speech services are being provided by a local medical agency and NOT the local school district- is this still considered an IEP?
Or, can an it only be considered an IEP when the school district is providing the services?

The IEP – Individualized Education Program – is a document that is provided by the school district. It will detail the services that the district is responsible for providing The district may provide them directly themselves, or they may contract with another organization or agency to provide the services. But the IEP is only an IEP if the DOCUMENT is provided by the school district.
