Maxine: District was instructed through the courts to provide compensatory services for speech. Director is ordering SLP to go to home to deliver services. Student is violent and SLP refuses to go. She said it is not safe. Additionally she has 85 on her caseload and will not be able to service those on her caseload. Does she have to service the student in the home?
I don’t have an authoritative answer on this, but perhaps you could ask your state special ed oversight office; perhaps you could also ask your impartial hearing officer (i.e. the person who ordered the services).
