Evaluations: SCHOOL EVALUATED WITHOUT PERMISSION

Share

LC:  Last year we had a Sensory Eval completed on our child and the school’s been following a sensory diet since then. I just received home a sensory diet and what seems to me to be a new sensory evaluation. I was never asked for permission to reevaluate nor did anyone even go over this report with me. There is scoring on this report which makes me think it’s an actual eval even though the teacher says they do it every year or when they see problems. Thoughts?

  1. You need to ask the school if this a re-evaluation or not. If not then you can always request a meeting to go over the results of the eval or discuss over the phone. If you are unhappy with results you may request a more formal eval.
