Do you want to observe the class as a one-off, or are you asking to sit in every day? For the former, see https://www.wrightslaw.com/blog/parent-observation-in-the-classroom/
For the latter — I don’t think this will work. But you should be able to get a textbook to keep at home, and a daily electronic copy of all classwork and homework assignments.
The district should have a policy on parents observing in a classroom. Start by determining what the policy says. On the homepage of this site you can google parent observations to get more suggestions on dealing with the school
