i have a 17 yr old whom has been failing since 1st grade.At the age of 6 or 7 diagonsed with adhd. when his behavior and impulses became too much to bare at 9 yrs he was put on meds (ridalin) which didnt help much. I went to countless meetings with teachers, deans and principals of his schools.As the years went on he was suspended and expelled from almost every school from 6 grade and up. During these years i was told he had learning problems and revised an i e p regularly.If eveyone was informed of his learning problems and unpredictable behavior why was nothing else done to help us? its clear he comes from a good home with no abuse or drugs.Year after year they let him slide by. Now he is a high school drop out! can we please get real answers with real resources. My husband was laid off 2 yrs ago and we are emotionally exhausted. HELP.
