Free Dental Clinics (VA)—Children with Special Healthcare Needs

Share

The Virginia Department of Health, in collaboration with the Virginia Dental Association Foundation, is sponsoring free children’s dental clinic days at the Charlottesville Free Clinic. Licensed area dentists wanting to expand their work with children with special needs and very young children will be volunteering their dental services for the morning.

Who qualifies? Children with special health care needs up to age 18 years and children under three years old with or without special needs.

This is a one-time opportunity for free dental care by this project. However, each child that is seen at the clinic will be referred to a dentist for continued dental care or remain as a patient of the Charlottesville Free Clinic.

The application deadline is Monday, February 7, 2011.

Services will be offered on February 26 and March 5 in Charlottesville, May 7 in Saltville, and May 14 in Martinsville. For more information, contact Kami Piscitelli at the Virginia Department of Health, 804-864-7804 or kami.piscitelli@vdh.virginia.gov.

  1. This was a great event. I attended. I would like to see more and more events like this on a regular basis. It is good when the Virginia Dept of Health steps up like this and does such a great job.
