Kristi – Have you asked for an initial evaluation for special education eligibility? If not, I would suggest that you ask right away. This is the first step to getting your son help in school.
Your child does NOT need to have a diagnosis before you ask. You simply need to suspect that he may have a disability that may be impacting his education – and it sounds like you already do.
