Hello, my name is Nathan. I grew up with partial epilepsy since age four, but praise is to God. After going through two neurological surgeries I am not an epileptic anymore. It has been close to a full year with no seizures at all. But my parents seem to be unconvinced that I do not qualify for an IEP anymore. Do you all have any links you would suggest, to legitimize that I am no longer a candidate for IEP?
Your parents should have you re-evaluated to see if you no longer need an IEP. That would give them peace of mind.
The school is required to do an evaluation before determining that they are no longer eligible. 300.305(e)(1) Did they do this, & provide a copy to you? I suggest asking your state parent training & information project to assist you. http://www.parentcenterhub.org/find-your-center/
