The Colorado Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference, a Wrightslaw training program with Pete Wright, Esq., is sponsored by Consultants for Children, Inc. The program will be held at Social Capital Events in Arvada, CO…just outside of Denver!

This one-day special education law and advocacy program will focus on four areas:

  • special education law, rights, and responsibilities
  • how to use tests to measure progress or regression
  • how to write SMART IEPs
  • how to use tactics & strategies for effective advocacy

Registration Fee: The conference fee includes a light breakfast, full lunch, a Wrightslaw highlighter pen, and three Wrightslaw books—Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 3rd Edition, Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Edition, and Wrightslaw: All About IEPs. Attendees will receive the books on the morning of the conference and will receive PDFs of each title. The three print and PDF books retail for $103.70.

Credits: 7.0 CLE (continuing legal education) general credits through The State of Colorado Supreme Court Office of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education are approved. The cost is $50.

Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates, and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education. The program is not disability specific.
