Speaking Overview
Wrightslaw offers a variety of special education law and advocacy programs designed to meet the organization's needs to provide training for the parents, advocates, educators, attorneys, related services personnel, and/or health care providers who represent the interests of children with disabilities. Training can be live face-to-face or virtual (Zoom).
In all Wrightslaw training programs, attendees receive their books as print bound books and as PDF ebooks.

Private Training - Wrightslaw provides private training for agencies, organizations, private schools, clinics, etc. These programs are designed to meet the specific needs of the members and are closed to the public. Scheduling an Event
If you are interested in scheduling an event, you will want to start with the page that asks "When is Wrightslaw Coming to My City?"
After you have finished that page, then you will want to read the links that are at the top of this page and repeated on the "When . . ." page. Those links provide you with an overview about a program, the different types of programs, marketing info, and the fees page.
On the page about marketing, you will see that many organizations use a Wrightslaw Conference as a fund raising event for their organization or business. Quite a few new businesses (advocacy, therapists, psychologists) and new local disability organizations in a particular geographical area have used our Conference to jumpstart name recognition about who they are, what they do, and use it generate funds to get their business/organization off the ground.
The "Fees" page has a link to the form contract which may answer many questions. After you have reviewed that information, please send an email to petewright | at | harborhouselaw.com. You will have to substitute the |at| with @. In your subject line, please start it with "CONF XX" with the XX being your state's two letter initials. All emails with CONF as the first word in the subject line are filtered into our high priority mailbox.
Wrightslaw does not determine when and where programs are held. We rely on individuals and organizations to contract with us to bring a program to your area. If you are interested in bringing a Wrightslaw Conference to your area, review the links at the top of the page. Programs can be modified to meet the needs of your group.

Hosting a Conference
If
you want to learn more about hosting a Wrightslaw program, please review the page that answers your question "When is Wrightslaw Coming to My City?"
To see the sample agenda most commonly requested, please click here. Participants will learn about special education law, both the statute (IDEA 2004), the special education regulations, and recent legal decisions (if any) in your geographical area and the status of any pending U.S. Supreme Court cases, and how these decisions are likely to affect you. You will also learn about effective persuasive advocacy techniques that will open, rather than close doors to quality services.
